Million Dollar Baby

Million Dollar Baby is a film about the story of a poor woman with a family that doesn’t love her, who wants to become a professional boxer.

To make her dream true, she needs someone who trains her, and she wants the best trainer. But she has to convince him, because he doesn’t trains women.

A long time afer having doing pressure tu become him as trainer, she begins to win fights against other fighters of his category.

She always win the fights with a knock out in the firste round, so it’s hard for her manager to find fights for her, but finaly she could fight in the major league.

When she was fighting to win the title of champion, the other fighter cheats and punch her when they weren’t fighting. She has an accident and becomes quadriplegic.

Months after the accident, she has an epiphany and she realises that she was born to fight, so if she couldn’t do it, she wanted not to live.

She asked her manager to disconect her from the mashine that makes able to breath, and he didn’t know what to do.

Finaly he did it and after that leaves the country and nobody knows where he has gone.

Gladiator

I've recently seen "Gladiator", a film directed by Ridley Scott.

In this film, Russell Crowe gives live to Maximo, a well known general of the roman empire who had won a lot of battles and it's loyal to the current emperor. At the beginning of the film, he's fighting with his roman army against barbarian, and when he won the battle, arrives Comodo, who kill his father, the emperor when he notice that he won't be the next emperor and it will be Maximo.
After escaping of his executation, Maximo goes to his home, but the roman empire leaded by Comodo had burnt his properties and killed his wife and his son. in that moment, Maximo is draft as a gladiator.
In that moment, he decides to revenge the death of the old emperor killing Comodo to return to Rome the freedom that they had with Comodo's father.
After a failed attempt to conquer the city, he have to fight in the coliseum against Comodo, who hurt him before the fight to had it easier to kill him. Finally, Maximo kills Comodo, but he dies a few seconds later, returning the freedom to the real government of Rome.

That's a film that I've seen many times before and i love it, but it's the first time that I see it in original version and i have to say that it's better to see it like this because despite the fact that you learn english, you can really see how the film has been made.
